What is the difference between White Label and Private Label?

White Label: you use our ready-made formulas with your branding applied.
Private Label: we manufacture a product specifically for your brand.

  • White Label: 10 units
  • Private Label: 250 units

We offer both:

  • White label: Use our proven formulas with your branding.

  • Private label: Custom formulas, packaging, and label design support for a fully unique product.

  • White Label has no development fee.
  • Private Label includes a formulation and setup fee depending on complexity. This can be expected to fall within £500-1500 depending on complexity.
  • White Label: SKD owns the formula
  • Private Label: your brand owns the finished product specification
  • White Label formulas may be used by multiple brands.
  • Private Label products are produced specifically for your company and not used for anyone else. You have full exclusivity.

Both services allow your branding and label design once approved. For white label we use standard packaging such as white or amber PET bottles. Private Label customers have a wider range of options if they wanted.

  • Private Label production times vary depending on the product complexity and order size.

Yes. Once your product is set up, reordering is straightforward and faster.

Yes – many brands start with White Label to test demand and later upgrade to a custom private label product.

Yes. If you are running a business of selling supplements then an expectation would be implied that you have basic knowledge of the products you are selling and the regulations surrounding them such as product claims, advertising guidelines etc.

For White Label and Private Label, the selling brand manages customer communication while we support with batch records and product information.

Direct-to-customer fulfilment is available only through our Print-on-Demand service.
White Label and Private Label orders are supplied in bulk to you.

Your company is shown as the brand placing the product on the market.
The label will state Manufactured for ‘your brand’.

Print-on-Demand
SKD Pharmaceuticals remains the responsible product owner.
Your brand appears on the front while SKD is listed as the responsible business on the label. The rear label can state ‘distributed by ‘your brand’ 

Why is this different?

White Label and Private Label products are supplied to your business to sell as your own product.
Print-on-Demand products are fulfilled by SKD on your behalf, so we remain the responsible manufacturer.
