Our R&D department is intended to help discover and trial new novel treatment therapies, predominantly in the field of dermatology.
Working collaboratively with other scientific professionals we endeavour to formulate new treatments to help people manage their daily skin routine.
A particular avenue SKD Pharmaceuticals exploring is:
- Stem cell research for anti-ageing products
- Granzyme B inhibitors as a topical preparation for the treatment of eczema. Granzyme B enzyme is positively correlated with itchiness and disease severity in eczema. A topical inhibitor would help alleviate the symptoms allowing improvement of the condition.
Additionally we are focusing on manipulating and reformulating existing market products to create new products which would provide enhanced performance and to be more cosmetically acceptable to patients/customers.
